Case Histories

Case 1
Signalment: 11year old Tennessee Walking Horse Gelding.
History: Draining tract with granulation tissue noted dorsocaudal to left eye 2 days ago. Left periorbital tissue and eyelid swelling, left eye miosis and eye slightly difficult to retropulse. Difficulty eating. Soft tissue irregularity of the area with emphysema on survey radiographs and during a fistulogram, the contrast was noted to come out of the medial canthus of the eye.

Case 2
Signalment: 2 year old female Belgian Malinois. Used as a scent tracking dog.
History: Intermittent nonproductive cough for approx. 1 year. No response with various antibiotics and anthelmitics treatments. Previous heartworm test negative. Presented with increased respiratory rate and effort. Eosinophilia on CBC.

Case 3
Signalment: 6 year old spayed female Boxer.
History: Chronic recurrent hematuria. Mild regenerative anemia and mild azotemia on bloodwork.

Case 4
Signalment: 8 year old spayed female Miniature Poodle.
History: Intermittent fever, lethargy, anorexia and leg stiffness. Mildly increased plasma proteins and globulin on chemistry profile. Thoracic radiographs were made and changes were noted in the shoulder region.

Case 5
Signalment: Adult female Red Panda.
History: Widened cranial mediastinum noted on radiographs made during a general wellness examination.

Case 6
Signalment: 15 year old Appaloosa gelding.
History: 3/5 lame in left hind for approximately 4 months. RDVM unable to localize with perineural anesthesia.

Case 7
Signalment: 2.5 year old Maine Anjou/Angus cross cow.
History: Inappetance and lethargy for a week. Increased respiratory effort and harsh lung sounds. Jugular distension and submandibular and chest edema.

Case 8
Signalment: 5 year old female canine
History: Ataxia
