Policy for Journal Affiliate Organizations

POLICY FOR AFFILIATE ORGANIZATIONS REQUESTING TO MAKE VETERINARY RADIOLOGY & ULTRASOUND (VRU) THEIR OFFICIAL JOURNAL

A veterinary radiology organization that requests information on how to make VRU their official journal must have:

  1. officers and a constitution
  2. a letterhead with address

The organization must make their request in electronic form to the Editor-In-Chief of VRU and select Wiley-Blackwell’s option of either:

1) Mandatory Subscription to VRU - If the new group chooses this option and agrees to provide the journal to ALL members as a benefit of membership, then Wiley-Blackwell is prepared to offer the following: electronic access to all issues dating back to Volume 1, Issue 1 (50 years of content!) and print copies of current issues; a link to the society's homepage through the VRU journal homepage; 1 free ad in the journal to promote their annual conference or other activity; 20% off all Wiley-Blackwell veterinary publications, and the organization's name printed inside the journal cover; representation on the editorial board (Editor's discretion). The subscription fee for this option is based on the number of members in the organization.

2) Optional Subscription to VRU - If the organization chooses this option, Wiley-Blackwell is prepared to offer electronic access to all issues dating back to Volume 1, Issue 1 (50 years of content!) and print copies of current issues; a link to the organizations's homepage through the VRU journal homepage; and the organization's name printed inside the journal cover. The subscription fee for this option is based on the number of members in the organization. The journal editor will seek ACVR Council's advice and consent for his/her decision. Affiliate organizations conferring Diplomate status will be listed on the journal cover and all other affiliate organizations will be listed on the journal Masthead.
