For the last 1.5-2 years, ACVR has been searching for the next Editor-in-Chief for Veterinary Radiology & Ultrasound. In order to expand the pool of applicants for this position, a proposed amendment to the ACVR Constitution was present to, and approved by, ACVR Council. Now the proposal must be approved by ACVR Diplomates.
Currently, Article X, Section 4 says:
The Executive Council shall appoint a Diplomate to be the Editor-in-Chief, who will have complete responsibility and authority for the textual contents of the journal.
The proposed change is to remove the phrase “a Diplomate to be,” such that Article X, Section 4 would now read:
The Executive Council shall appoint the Editor-in-Chief, who will have complete responsibility and authority for the textual contents of the journal.
