Scope and Aims

  • Veterinary Radiology & Ultrasound is a bimonthly, international, peer-reviewed, research journal devoted to the fields of veterinary diagnostic imaging and radiation oncology. Established in 1958, it is the official journal of the American College of Veterinary Radiology, European College of Veterinary Diagnostic Imaging, European Association of Veterinary Diagnostic Imaging, International Veterinary Radiology Association, and the Australasian Association of Veterinary Diagnostic Imaging. Veterinary Radiology & Ultrasound is also represented on the Committee on Publication Ethics.
  • The mission of Veterinary Radiology & Ultrasound is to serve as a leading resource for high quality articles that advance scientific knowledge and standards of clinical practice in the areas of veterinary diagnostic radiology, computed tomography, magnetic resonance imaging, ultrasonography, nuclear imaging, radiation oncology, and interventional radiology. Manuscript types include original investigations, imaging diagnosis reports, review articles, editorials and letters to the Editor. Acceptance criteria include originality, significance, quality, reader interest, composition and adherence to author guidelines.
  • The time from submission to first decision averages 26 days. Currently papers are published online with a DOI and Pubmed ID on Wiley-Blackwell’s “EarlyView” within 60 working days from the date of final edit.Members Only Access Public Access

    Subscribe to Veterinary Radiology & Ultrasound

    There are two ways to subscribe to Veterinary Radiology & Ultrasound:

    • Join an ACVR Society/Renew Society Membership - The ACVR handles access and all Journal subscriber information. Society membership includes a Journal subscription. You will receive both online access and printed issues. If you wish to conserve paper, to request online-only access, please contact the Webmaster using the Contact Us email form. However, there is no change in subscription price.
    • Subscribe to the Journal Only - No ACVR Society Membership. Subscription directly through Wiley Online Library. Wiley Online Library handles access and all Journal subscriber information.

    • Online-Only Journal Option - If you wish to conserve paper, to request online-only access, please contact the Webmaster using the Contact Us email form. However, there is no change in subscription price.
    • Get New Content Alerts - If you would like to receive Journal content alerts electronically after choosing the online-only subscription option, go to the Journal page at Wiley Online Library and choose 'Get New Content Alerts' under Journal Tools. After signing up for an account at Wiley, you can choose to get 'Table of Contents' alerts for any of their journals.
    • Anywhere Article - This new layout presents Journal HTML articles in a clutter-free way for easy reading as well as optimizes the reading experience for any device. Please see Anywhere Article link in right sidebar for more information. Check out Anywhere Article IMMEDIATELY in the current and previous online Journal issues. This new functionality goes nicely with the new online-only subscription option we now have in place.
