LADIS Case of the Month - May 2014

History and Physical Exam:

  • 5 month-old Trakhener filly
  • Presented with grade 4/5 LF lameness
  • Pain and heat on palpation of the cranial region of the shoulder and scapula
  • Resistance to flexion of the L shoulder (made extension for radiographs difficult)
  • Type 7 P3 fragmentation and fetlock OCD on the affected limb, no other abnormalities.
