2011 Image Interpretation Session - Case 3

Signalment and History: 7 year old, female spayed Beagle/Jack Russell terrier cross. Presented with a complaint of hemolytic anemia of four days duration.

Physical Examination and Clinical Data: Initial CBC findings and test data were consistent with immune mediated hemolytic anemia. Thoracic and abdominal radiographs on presentation were normal. Treatment with prednisone, heparin, and azothiaprine was initiated. Patient doing well until acute onset dyspnea after three days in the hospital.
