How to Join an ACVR Society or Renew Membership!

*Please Note: A subscription to Veterinary Radiology & Ultrasound ($110) is required to join a Society and will be added to your Society membership fee automatically. If you are not an ACVR member or ECVDI Diplomate, but already have a subscription to Veterinary Radiology & Ultrasound, you will need to contact Wiley directly to cancel this subscription. We have no access or control over Wiley-Blackwell's direct subscriber information. If you are an ACVR member or ECVDI Diplomate, you will only need to pay dues since you are already receiving the Journal. Current annual Society membership dues are: Veterinary Ultrasound Society ($25), CT/MRI Society ($30), Society of Veterinary Nuclear Medicine ($25), and Large Animal Diagnostic Imaging Society ($25). As an example, to join the Veterinary Ultrasound Society if you are not an ACVR member or an ECVDI Diplomate, the total amount would be $135 (Journal $110 and Ultrasound Society dues $25). Otherwise, if you are an ACVR member or an ECVDI Diplomate, you will need to pay Society dues only ($25) since you are already receiving the Journal. If you have any questions, please contact the ACVR Webmaster using the Contact Us email form.

General Information & Eligibility for Membership

The ACVR has been concerned with the orderly growth and development of diagnostic imaging specialties and currently sponsors the three Societies above.

The ACVR provides:

  • Secretarial support for maintaining each Society's mailing list and for distribution of the Society's newsletter.
  • Society section on the ACVR web site for membership activities.
  • Reduced registration fee for the ACVR Annual Scientific Meeting.
  • A portion of the ACVR Annual Scientific Meeting for scientific presentations under the direction of the Society.
  • Time for Society Business Meetings during the Annual ACVR Meeting.

Eligibility for membership in all special interest societies is open to anyone with an interest in the goals and objectives of each Society. Veterinarians or non-veterinarians with an interest in Ultrasound, CT/MRI or Nuclear Medicine can join one or more of the ACVR Societies. However, membership in a Society does not imply expertise in any imaging modality. Please see Definition of ACVR Membership Categories for a definition of each type of ACVR membership. Each Society maintains an email listserver for discussion of topics related to each specialty. You must be a member of the Society to belong to its list.
