Head of Diagnostic Imaging – Small Animal Referral Practice UK

We seek to employ an ECVDI or ACVR board certified radiologist to take up the position of Head of Diagnostic Imaging, or a Senior full time Radiologist in order to expand our capacity and support our current team.

Anderson Moores Veterinary Specialists is a Specialist multidisciplinary, referral only practice in the South of England.   We currently accept referrals in soft tissue and orthopaedic surgery, internal medicine, oncology, neurology, cardiology, dermatology, diagnostic imaging, anaesthesiology and physiotherapy.  Our team of SpecialistClinicians is supported by a large team of highly qualified registered veterinary nurses and kennel assistants.

At present, our imaging services are provided by 3 radiologists, a dedicated radiography nurse and an imaging assistant. We offer in house ultrasound (GE S7), radiography(Konika Minolta CR digital), fluoroscopy (Siemens Siremobil Compact L) and computed tomography (dual slice GE with AngiomatIllumena high pressure injector)with twice weekly visits from a mobile MRI. We have recently appointed Siemens as the preferred provider for an onsite permanent MRI unit (1.5T MagnetomEssenza).

We are committed to expanding the imaging team to provide an innovative and state of the art service to our other Specialist services, which includes an opportunity to develop residency training programmes. This is a unique opportunity for a Boarded Radiologist to embark on a new venture to develop a team in a private referral practice with a busy and varied caseload. We are open to original ideas on how to develop the service and have a flexible approach to how this might work for the right individual

The candidate must have a veterinary degree registerable with the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons and be an ECVDI or ACVR Diplomate.

Remuneration

  • Attractive salary package
  • CPD is encouraged and supported
  • Professional membership and journal subscription fees
  • Ancillary package (health insurance, pension contribution, pet insurance)

Location

The practice is located in the heart of Hampshire within 6 miles of historic Winchester and 10 miles of the New Forest and the Solent.   London Waterloo is a 55 minute train ride from Winchester station and Southampton international Airport is only few miles away.   Recreational and sports facilities are abundant and easily accessible.
