BOARD CERTIFIED OR BOARD ELIGIBLE VETERINARY RADIOLOGIST NEEDED in a high caseload, premier quality specialty hospital, located in West Los Angeles. The radiologist will join Animal Specialty and Emergency Center’s (ASEC) growing imaging department. We are seeking a full time radiologist to help support and expand our imaging service to 6 days a week.

A typical day includes reviewing radiographic images with the emergency/critical care staff during morning rounds, performing in-house and outpatient ultrasound and CT exams with guided aspirates and biopsies, and interpreting in-house as well as referral radiographs. Weekly teaching rounds with rotating interns, residents and specialists and monthly didactic lectures will be duties shared with the current radiologist.

Our hospital is completely digital with VIA electronic medical records, which are integrated with a new GE Logiq P6 ultrasound and a GE BrightSpeed 16 slice CT scanner. ASEC has two radiographic suites with Sound- Eklin PACS and numerous eFilm workstations for viewing. We also have a digital R&F unit and a new digital C-arm fluoroscopy unit (Philips Pulsera). MRI and scintigraphy are available at nearby locations.

We have boarded specialists in surgery, oncology, internal medicine, cardiology, and emergency/critical care. These doctors perform the highest caliber of medicine, including numerous interventional and minimally invasive procedures. A great camaraderie is present in this hospital and with the referring veterinary community.

The greater LA area offers a variety of cultural events and outdoor activities and is world renowned for entertainment and dining. The hospital is blocks from UCLA, with easy drives to the ocean and regional mountains. A full time position would include a base salary plus bonus, a 4 day work week, a generous benefits package which includes health insurance, a 401K , CE, license and association dues.
