The Department of Surgical Sciences of the University of Wisconsin School of Veterinary Medicine is seeking to fill a Clinical Instructor position in Radiation Oncology. Requirements include the DVM or equivalent and advanced training in radiation oncology. American College of Veterinary Radiology Recognized Specialty in Radiation Oncology board eligible is desirable. Must maintain a Wisconsin license to practice Veterinary Medicine. Applications are sought from qualified individuals for a clinical position in the section of Radiation Oncology. The successful candidate will join an academically stimulating radiation oncology group comprised of two faculty plus an instructor (current position) and 2 residents. The radiation oncology unit operates using a Tomotherapy conformal radiation machine, the first of only two such units in veterinary schools in the U.S. The position entails providing clinical radiation oncology services while working in close collaboration with the oncology unit in the Veterinary Medical Teaching Hospital and in providing both student and resident instruction.
