Senior Lecturer / Associate Professor in Radiology and Diagnostic Imaging
The School of Veterinary Science has a rich history having been founded in 1936 and has a reputation for graduating self reliant, independent and highly capable veterinarians with plenty of initiative and drive. The School has high quality facilities at the UQ Gatton Campus, providing the teaching, research and clinical infrastructure and resources to develop its strong reputation as a leading provider of veterinary training, research and clinical care. The school also maintains a small animal hospital and large animal clinic at Dayboro, north-west of Brisbane.
The role: This position will promote and develop expertise in soft tissue and skeletal imaging for companion animals and horses. The successful applicant will actively contribute to teaching of undergraduate and postgraduate students. A contribution to clinically-focussed research and/or innovation in clinical practice, as well as a key role in engagement with the veterinary profession is expected.
The person: Applicants should possess a degree in veterinary science registrable in Queensland, together with advanced qualifications in Diagnostic Imaging or a PhD (or equivalent). You will have an established record of clinical excellence in this area, as well as previous undergraduate teaching experience.
Remuneration: This is a full-time, fixed-term appointment for three years at Academic Level C or D (depending on qualifications and experience). The base remuneration package will be in the range:
Academic Level C: AUD$102,782 - $118,513 p.a., plus employer superannuation contributions of up to 17% (total package will be in the range AUD$120,555 - $138,661 p.a.).
Academic Level D: AUD$123,757 - $136,343 p.a., plus employer superannuation contributions of up to 17% (total package will be in the range AUD$144,796 - $159,522 p.a.).
