POSITION AVAILABLE: Staff Veterinarian in Diagnostic Imaging
SALARY: Dependent on qualifications and experience
START DATE: August 1, 2013, to July 31, 2014, negotiable
CONTINUANCE: One-year appointment with possibility of renewal based on annual performance evaluation and service needs.
QUALIFICATIONS: Veterinarian with advanced clinical training and expertise in Diagnostic Imaging. Demonstrated aptitude/experience in teaching, particularly clinical instruction, is preferred. Must possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills and a demonstrated ability to work with others in a collegial team atmosphere.
Clinical: The position includes a 90% clinical commitment to the Diagnostic Imaging Service of the Veterinary Medical Teaching Hospital (VMTH). Individual will be responsible for directing, instructing and supervising veterinary students and residents; providing health care and service to patients; and advising and consulting with primary care veterinarians in the areas of computed tomography, magnetic resonance imaging, nuclear medicine, small animal radiology, small animal ultrasound, and large animal radiology.
Teaching: The primary teaching responsibility will be direct daily supervision and instruction of DVM students and Diagnostic Imaging residents.
