CLINICAL INSTRUCTOR POSITION

VETERINARY RADIOLOGY

The CHUV is currently seeking qualified candidates for a Clinical Instructor position in Veterinary Radiology to complete a team of 3 professors and 1 clinical instructor. The CHUV offers a complete array of imaging modalities (PACS, computed radiography/digital fluoroscopy, ultrasound, nuclear medicine, 16-slice CT and 1.5T MRI) to serve a diverse multispecies clientele (companion animal, exotics, equine, food animal).

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Participate in clinical teaching to undergraduate and postgraduate students (i.e. interns and residents) and service at the CHUV for 80 % of allocated time;
  • Participate in the diffusion of expertise in diagnostic imaging in collaboration with collegues and according to the interests of the candidate;
  • Participate in administrative tasks.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Doctorate in Veterinary Medicine (DVM) or equivalent;
  • Diplomate or eligible to sit the Board Examination of the American College of Veterinary Radiolo-gists (ACVR) or the European College of Veterinary Diagnostic Imaging (ECVDI);
  • An advanced research degree (M.Sc. or Ph.D.) will be favorably considered;
  • Must obtain a license to practice veterinary medicine in the province of Quebec (Canada) issued by the Ordre des médecins vétérinaires du Québec;
  • Working knowledge of written and spoken French is required.

  • June 1st, 2013 or according to candidate availability.
