Veterinary Specialty Center of Tucson is seeking applications for a full time veterinary radiologist. ACVR or ECVDI board certification, or post-resident trainees qualified for the examination will be considered. We are seeking a full time radiologist to provide imaging support services for our specialty caseload, which is expanding to 6 days a week in medicine and surgery. The radiologist also provides support for the in-house emergency service and radiographic consults for referring veterinary hospitals. In addition, the radiologist also performs in-patient and out-patient ultrasounds as well as the majority of CT and MRI scans, and oversees the Feline Radioactive Iodine 131 Program.
VSCT consists of full-time, on-site specialists in surgery (3), internal medicine (2), neurology/neurosurgery, emergency (4), critical care (2), dermatology, dentistry/oral surgery, ophthalmology, oncology, integrative medicine, companion animal rehabilitation therapy and behavior in an award-winning, 32,00 sq. ft. state-of-the-art hospital open 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. Imaging equipment on-site includes two digital radiology suites (Sound-Eklin Tru/DR DX 1700 and Agfa CR30-X) two stationary and one portable ultrasound units (Hitachi Alkoa ProtoSound Alpha 7, Philips HDI 5000 SonoCT and Mindray Digiprince DP-6600Vet), spiral CT scanner (GE 4 slice CT HiSpeed Scanner) and MRI (Esaote Vet-MR Grande 0.25 Tesla).
