Pittsburgh Veterinary Specialty and Emergency Center (PVSEC) is seeking a second board certified, or residency trained, radiologist to join our well established and growing multispecialty/emergency referral center. The successful candidate will join one other board certified radiologist with access to diagnostic ultrasound, 8 slice CT scanner, high-field MRI, C-Arm fluoroscopy, and three Eklin DR x-ray tables. PVSEC is housed in a 36,000 sq ft facility with a large number of specialists in virtually every discipline including 7 surgeons, 2 neurologists, 4 internists, 3 medical oncologists, 3 ophthalmologists, 5 criticalists, 2 cardiologists, 2 dermatologists, 1 dentist, and 1 radiation oncologist. Eleven ER doctors provide round the clock emergency coverage. Our team is dedicated to excellent clinical service as well as teaching and research with 5 rotating interns, residents in Surgery and Critical care and several clinical trials ongoing at all times.


  • Candidates should be board certified by the ACVR or eligible for certification by the ACVR
  • Candidates should be eligible for veterinary licensure in Pennsylvania
  • Candidates should be experienced and interested in practicing and interpreting all of the following imaging modalities: Digital radiography, ultrasonography, CT, MRI, and fluoroscopy.
  • Candidates should possess excellent communication skills and be interested in collaborating with colleagues at the center as well as referring veterinarians in the best interest of the patients we treat.
