VETMED is looking to grow our imaging team with the addition of a Board Certified Radiologist. We offer great benefits, relocation reimbursement, competitive compensation and growth potential all in a state of the art facility.

Dr. Arch Robertson has been doing Ultrasound Imaging for over 25 years and opened his referral practice 5 years ago. Our hospital is equipped with advanced diagnostic equipment including 4 slice CT, digital radiography, an intensive care unit, modern surgical suites that provide minimally invasive procedure options, endoscopy, lithotripsy, and cardiac catheterization lab. A Boarded Radiologist would walk into an already established referral list and opportunities for fast growth are great. This position is highly needed for our team.

Our team of doctors, technicians and client service representatives are highly trained, motivated and proud to practice “collaborative medicine.” We combine veterinary expertise and skill in each specialty to provide the best diagnosis and treatment plan to referring veterinarians.

VETMED is easily accessed by most areas of the Phoenix metropolitan area due to its location to three major freeways. VETMED is an 8000 square foot 24 hour specialty and critical care facility. We work closely with referring veterinarians to provide continuity of care for their patients, allowing their practice to continue running efficiently.

VETMED is a group that is looking to grow and stay cutting edge in the field of specialty and emergency veterinary medicine. Long term and forward thinking was made with the large upfront investment put into the current new facility and equipment. Building honest and supportive relationships with referring vets has created a stable foundation for marketing and a lot of room to grow successfully. VETMED’s commitment to being a leader in innovative and affordable healthcare will keep us growing at a manageable and consistent rate. VETMED grew 35% in 2010, 15% in 2011 and 14% increase for 2012 and is tracking 25% in 2013.

About Arizona:

Phoenix, Arizona is the fifth largest city in the United States. It is fondly referred to as the “Valley of the Sun” and is in the Northern Part of the Sonoran Desert. Phoenix averages 85% of sunshine and only 5 days of below freezing temperatures in the winter. With warm winters, averaging 70 degrees, phoenix is a big draw for golfers, shoppers, and big sporting events. Hot summers are relieved with intense, fast and beautiful monsoon storms from the Gulf of Mexico during July and August. Arizona has a “dry heat,” with very little humidity or precipitation.

The Phoenix area is surrounded by mountain ranges on all four sides and two within the city. All of these ranges are ideal for easy to moderate hiking, rock climbing or enjoying the views on the resorts dotted on the inner city Mountains. Camelback Mountain is probably the most notable mountain due to its size and location in the town of Paradise Valley. It is an ideal backdrop for views and photos.

Scottsdale is the Arizona’s sixth-largest city. Scottsdale is commonly defined by its high quality of life, and in 1993 was named the "Most Livable City", in the United States by the United States Conference of Mayors. It is continually ranked as one of the premier golf and resort destinations in the world, with a sizable portion of tax revenue being derived from tourism. It is also home to the Phoenix Open Golf Tournament held at the Tournament Players Club every year and the Barrett Jackson car show held at West World.

Tempe, Arizona is home to Arizona State University. The University as well as the surrounding cities offer several cultural activities, including the performing arts, museums, and social events. Outside of Phoenix drivers can easily access The Grand Canyon, Flagstaff or the White Mountains for skiing, many lakes and rivers for water activities or Arizona wineries. Other major cities are less than an hour flight away such as Los Angeles, Las Vegas, San Diego and Santa Barbara.
