Locate an ACVR Radiologist or Radiation Oncologist in your area.
VCA Veterinary Referral Associates is seeking an experienced Radiologist to join our well-established, 24-hour emergency and multi-specialty referral practice in Gaithersburg, Maryland.
If you love clinical medicine, if you want to follow a case from beginning to end with a team of devoted specialists, if you want to have the best tools available and to work with people who will support your passion from appointment scheduling through diagnosis, to treatment and beyond, look no further.
VCA VRA is one of the first specialty-only veterinary hospitals in the country. Endearingly called “The Barn” (after our home for decades—a retrofitted barn!), we’re in our thirty-eighth year. We’ve since moved into a custom-designed 30,000 sq. ft. facility equipped with MRI, a new 16-slice CT with a Power Injector, Scintigraphy supporting an active I131 program, and a brand new ultrasound machine. We feature Radiation Oncology and a staff who enthusiastically supports all of our “bells and whistles”.
We sponsor the education of our veterinary colleagues through a broad-spectrum of continuing education classes on-site and have, for many years, had an intern training program. In fact, one of our Interns was accepted into a Radiology residency.
Besides having a full spectrum of specialists, we are the only veterinary hospital in Maryland to have a full-time boarded anesthesiologist to support our anesthesia-heavy specialty services.
Our area allows you to both practice your chosen specialty and watch your personal life flourish. From the free museums of the Smithsonian, to canoeing down the Potomac, to riding your bike to Pittsburgh on the C&O canal, recreational pursuits are readily available. The bustling night life of Georgetown offers restaurants, great music and unlimited opportunities for socialization. One can live in the city or on a farm and still be within easy commuting distance of our hospital’s front door.
