Fishers, Indiana

VCA Advanced Veterinary Care Center is seeking an experienced Radiologist to join our multi-disciplinary Specialty practice in beautiful Fishers, Indiana—located just outside of Indianapolis.

Must have credentials that are accepted by the ACVR.

Do you want to be hands-on with your patients and prefer interacting with colleagues one on one rather than reading images from a computer all day?  Although working from home in your pajamas has its perks, some people want a more integrated job.  Wouldn’t it be nice to know you were right about that foreign body on the radiograph because you were called into surgery to see it removed?  Wouldn't it be nice to hear from our Neurologist how the patient with a spinal tumor you found, handled surgery?  Wouldn't it be nice to be the hero when our Oncologist asks you to get a fine needle aspirate of a difficult mass to visualize?  Well, this is what you will get at our hospital!

The Advanced Veterinary Care Center already has an outpatient ultrasound and CT service, but we need someone who wants to take it to the next level.  Our hospital has an outstanding referral base to jump start such an endeavor, plus you’ll be supported by specialists in Internal Medicine, Neurology & Neurosurgery, Oncology, Ophthalmology, Surgery (orthopedic & soft tissue), and Physical Rehabilitation.   Your colleagues will include:

  • Dr. Kristi Stanley (Residency Trained in Internal Medicine)
  • Dr. Alicia Dudley (Residency Trained in Internal Medicine)
  • Dr. Johnny Cross (DACVIM – Neurology)
  • Dr. Carl Budelsky (DACVO)
  • Dr. Kerensa Rechner (DACVR – Radiation Oncology)
  • Dr. Sharon Shor (Residency Trained in Medical Oncology)
  • Dr. Aaron Wehrenberg (DACVS)
  • Dr. Chad Spah (DACVS)
  • Dr. Rebecca Spivack (DACVS)

Our 30,000 sq. ft. facility is fully equipped with a 1.5 Tesla MRI, Helical CT, linear accelerator, fluoroscopy, two digital radiology rooms, two GE ultrasound units, full endoscopy equipment, hyperbaric oxygen chamber and a neurological electrodiagnostic machine—along with a full Rehabilitation service with two underwater treadmills.  Additionally, we have a dedicated room for ultrasound and a separate room reserved for Radiology

Fishers is located in Hamilton County, Indiana, which boasts several cities that are ranked among the Best Places To Live, including nearby Carmel, which was voted Number One by CNN Money Magazine in 2012!

The region has several blue ribbon schools, plus a thriving performing arts area.  For your recreational needs there is the Monon Trail, which runs for 15 miles from Hamilton County into Indianapolis.  While Peyton Manning may have left Indianapolis, the Colts are still the heart of the city.   And don’t forget our Pacers, who have made the NBA playoffs for the past couple of years!

Advanced Veterinary Care Center is part of VCA’s Specialty network consisting of 80+ hospitals offering specialty care, and a brain trust of more than 400 boarded Specialists representing almost every discipline in small animal medicine.
