MedVet Medical & Cancer Centers for Pets is currently seeking a board certified radiologist, or residency trained individual, to join our Radiology Team at our Fairfax, Ohio (MedVet Cincinnati) and Moraine, Ohio (MedVet Dayton) locations.
We are seeking an individual that is team oriented and has excellent communication skills with fellow colleagues, clients, and the referral community. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast paced environment, and is dedicated to practicing the highest quality of radiology. The recruited candidate will join Dr. Matthew Baron as part of the MedVet Radiology team currently practicing in our Cincinnati and Dayton locations.
MedVet is one of the largest veterinarian-owned multispecialty and emergency practices in the country. Founded in 1988, we celebrated our 25th anniversary in 2013. MedVet recently opened a new 25,000 square foot building located in Cincinnati, and has also completed renovations and expansion of clinical space at the Dayton facility. The radiology team provides a collaborative approach to care for our patients and clients by providing services for our referral partners and MedVet’s specialty and emergency departments. Services offered include abdominal ultrasonography, computed tomography, digital radiography, fluoroscopy, magnetic resonance imaging, radiographic consultation, thoracic ultrasonography, contrast radiographic procedures and radioactive iodine treatment of feline hyperthyroidism. Additionally, an IDEXX laboratory is located within our facility, enabling rapid return of diagnostics.
In keeping with MedVet’s collaborative approach to patient care, the radiology group is supported by on-site specialists including: cardiologists, dermatologists, internists, soft tissue and orthopedic surgeons, ophthalmologists, medical and radiation oncologists, neurologists, and anesthesiologists.
The Cincinnati metropolitan area has a population of over 2 million. Cincinnati is situated on the Ohio River and has shown continual growth over the past decade. Cincinnati is the home to several top ranked universities and offers exemplary shopping, world class dining, a lively art and music scene, and a burgeoning downtown theatre district. Attractions include a nationally recognized zoo, Kings Island Amusement Park, the Newport Aquarium, the Cincinnati Reds baseball team and the Cincinnati Bengals football team.
As the 6th largest city in Ohio, the Dayton metropolitan area has more than 800,000 residents. It is a progressive city with big city amenities but Midwestern charm and hospitality. Dayton is known as the Birthplace of Aviation and is home to the Wright Brothers and the National Museum of the United States Air Force.
Three of MedVet’s Ohio medical centers (Columbus, Cincinnati & Dayton) are the only AAHA Accredited Specialty Referral hospitals in the state of Ohio. MedVet Columbus was named the AAHA Accredited Referral Practice of the Year for 2014.
