Veterinary Specialty and Management Services of Ohio (VSMS-O) announces an exciting opportunity for a full-time diagnostic imaging specialist (radiologist). The position will be part of a dynamic team at The Ohio State Veterinary Medical Center at Dublin, Ohio. Candidates must hold a DVM or equivalent degree. Specialty board certification (ACVR) is preferred, and individuals with credentials accepted by ACVR for taking the certification examination, and residents in the final year of an approved training program will also be considered.

The Ohio State University Veterinary Medical Center (VMC) at Dublin is a 10,000 square foot state-of-the-art emergency and referral specialty satellite clinic, opening in the spring of 2013. The VMC at Dublin will offer a 24-hour emergency service, and specialty appointments in internal medicine, oncology, and soft tissue and orthopedic surgery. On-site imaging will include radiography, ultrasonography, CT, and endoscopy. Access to other imaging modalities, including nuclear scintigraphy, flurosocopy and MRI, will be available at the main campus VMC for patients requiring such imaging techniques

Candidates must have strong communication skills, the desire to work collaboratively with staff veterinary emergency clinicians and specialists as well as the referring veterinary community, and a willingness to teach and mentor. The successful candidate will be assigned full-time to clinical service, and there will be opportunities for advanced instruction of interns and residents and clinical teaching of students.

The appointee will be an employee of Veterinary Specialty and Management Services of Ohio (VSMS-O). Salary will be competitive and commensurate with the candidate's qualifications and experience. All candidates must pass a background check prior to employment. VSMS-O is an Equal Opportunity Employer. The anticipated start date is between February and March 2013.

As a part of the VMC at Dublin team the VSMS-O appointee may be eligible to become an unpaid non-tenured adjunct faculty member in the Department of Veterinary Clinical Sciences and thus have the opportunity to interact and collaborate with the diagnostic imaging faculty and other faculty within the department and the Veterinary Medical Center.

To apply, interested candidates are invited to submit a letter of intent stating professional goals and interests, a curriculum vita, and the names and contact information of four references to Dr. Doug Hoffman, CEO Veterinary Specialty Management Services of Ohio, 6995 East Kemper Road, Cincinnati, OH 43210 or via e-mail (dhoffman@vsmso.com).
