August 25, 2013 - November 23, 2013

We are seeking a second veterinary radiologist to join the rapidly growing diagnostic imaging practice at Chicago Veterinary Emergency & Specialty Center (CVESC) on the north side of Chicago, Illinois. Candidates must hold a DVM or equivalent degree. Specialty board certified or residency-trained board qualified (ACVR) applicants will be considered.

Northeast Veterinary Diagnostic Imaging provides diagnostic imaging support for CVESC, which is rapidly expanding, and is the largest and most comprehensive emergency and specialty veterinary hospital in Chicago. CVESC is a privately owned, collaborative, 28,000 square-foot state-of-the-art facility, offering specialty practices in diagnostic imaging, internal medicine, surgery, cardiology, neurology, ophthalmology, dentistry, and dermatology, as well as a busy and well-established 24-hour emergency practice. In addition, imaging support is being provided for the newly opened Chicago Veterinary Cancer and Rehabilitation Center located directly across the street, in a 9,000 square foot facility with medical and radiation oncology. Imaging consists of two Eklin DR radiology suites, a dual ultrasound suite (GE Loqic S8 and Logic 7), an on-site 1.5 T MRI and a 4-slice helical GE QX/I CT scanner with a contrast injector.

In addition to working closely with the specialists and the ER doctors in a friendly and team-oriented atmosphere, the imaging service also has a strong radiographic and ultrasound referral base from local referring veterinarians. Candidates should be confident, with strong interpersonal and communicative skills. A sense of humor is a plus!

There are an abundance of activities in the Chicagoland area, including museums, performing arts, sporting events, Lake Michigan, and some of the best food and restaurants in the country (just to name a few).

A generous compensation and benefit package commensurate with the candidate’s qualifications and experience will be offered. If you are interested in joining a dynamic, fun and growing practice, please send a cover letter and CV to Dr. Jason Crawford (, or call 630-779-2085 (cell). Dr. Crawford is planning on attending the ACVR conference in Savannah this October, and would be happy to meet with any interested candidates. For more information on the hospital, please go to or
