Assistant Professor of Clinical Anatomy
School of Veterinary Medicine, University of California, Davis

Applications are desired from candidates who have enthusiasm for leading and coordinating the teaching of veterinary anatomy to professional DVM students and the application of that knowledge to clinical practice at the University of California, Davis. DVM with advanced knowledge of veterinary anatomy required. Demonstrated expertise and interest in teaching professional students in comparative vertebrate and gross anatomy. Documented record of creative scholarship or potential to develop an independent educational research program in anatomy is required.

Candidates are expected to advance the discipline of veterinary anatomy through creation and dissemination of new knowledge with documentation in peer-reviewed publications. Creative/scholarly activities are required and may include a focus on integrating/improving anatomy specimens and teaching, developing innovative anatomy teaching tools, and methods related to conducting educational research studies. Candidates must possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills and a demonstrated ability to work with others in a collegial team atmosphere. Office and laboratory space are available in a new, state-of-the art facility. The department’s research and teaching programs interdigitate with other campus-wide programs, and resources in the Schools of Medicine and Veterinary Medicine, the California National Primate Research Center, the College of Biological Science and the Cancer Center.
