IVRA Awards & Fellowships

Currently the IVRA offers three types of Awards and Fellowships:

    * Bernstein Travel Fellowships - The Fellowships are designed to assist veterinarians from emerging countries with a special interest in veterinary radiology to attend and present a paper at a Scientific Meeting of the Association.  The Fellowships are named in honour of Dr Myron (Mike) Bernstein, a former President of the Association and its first Honorary Member.

    * Rhodes Oral and Poster Presentation Awards - The IVRA wishes to recognize the outstanding contributions made to the scientific program by its junior members. The Awards are named in honor of Dr W. Harker Rhodes, an Honorary Member of the Association and the first editor of Veterinary Radiology & Ultrasound. An award will be made for the best oral and poster presentations given by a trainee or junior colleague.

    * J. Kevin Kealy Award - The Award, established in 2003, is named in honour of Emeritus Professor J. Kevin Kealy, organizer of the first meeting of the IVRA, the first President, and an Honorary Member of the Association. At an IVRA meeting, the Award will be presented to a Member of the Association who has made substantial published scientific contributions to Veterinary Radiology.
