2009 Image Interpretation Session - Case 7

Signalment: Approximately 3 to 4 year old, M (I), Mixed breed dog -- Rescued

History: This patient was found in the country. It was noted to have a non weight bearing lameness on the right pelvic limb. An owner was not located.

Other information: Physical exam noted full range of motion associated with the hips, stifles and hocks. There was pain on extension of the hip joints. Additionally, a moveable soft mass was palpated in the ventral neck soft tissues. The patient tested positive for heartworm and E. canis infections.

Study Provided: Radiographs of the thorax, abdomen and neck were obtained.
