2016 ACVR Conference

02/14/2016

The ACVR administration and Program Committee have been working diligently behind the scenes to plan a great conference in 2016. This year’s meeting is a joint conference with the Veterinary Cancer Society (VCS) in Orlando, Florida, October 19-22, 2016.  The conference venue is the Hilton Orlando Lake Buena Vista located within easy walking distance to Disney Springs, providing access to a variety of shops, restaurants, and entertainment venues.

In response to member surveys, this meeting will continue to have enhanced CE content in conjunction with scientific presentations.  In addition, we are excited to be jointly sponsoring three Keynote speakers as well as two scientific tracks with VCS. The joint opening scientific track topic on Thursday is “Interventional Radiology/Interventional Oncology” and will be kicked off with a Keynote Presentation given by Beau Bosko Toskich, MD, Assistant Professor in the Department of Radiology at the University of Florida.  His clinical and research areas of interest are in IR oncology with emphasis on radioembolization of primary and metastatic liver cancer and percutaneous tumor ablation. We will be soliciting abstracts from ACVR and VCS members in the topic of interventional radiology/interventional oncology.

We are planning several joint educational and social activities with our VCS colleagues, including a social event at the end of the conference on Saturday night. Please plan your stay accordingly so that we can mix and mingle with old and new friends! See Orlando 2016 on ACVR web site for more to come…
