The ACVR had record attendance at the 2011 Annual ACVR Scientific Meeting held at the Hyatt Regency in Albuquerque, NM, during the week of October 11-14th.
The all-day 'Tracheal & Urethral Stenting Training Lab' was held Monday October 10th, the day before the meeting and was a big success. Special thanks to Infiniti Medical for sponsoring the lab.
On Tuesday October 11th, there was a day-long 'Forum on CT Imaging'. Dr. Jeffrey Soloman, a human radiology interventionalist, spoke to the College about 'Interventional Techniques' as part of the CT Forum. His seminar was sponsored by Infiniti Medical.
On Wednesday, Dr. Donald Thrall was the keynote speaker helping us celebrate the ACVR's 50th anniversary. Dr. Thrall was also awarded the prestigious Bernstein Lifetime Achievement Award for his contributions to the ACVR.
The 'Meet the Residency Directors' session held on Wednesday evening from 5:30-6:30 pm was a big success. This was an opportunity for prospective radiology/radiation oncology residency applicants to meet with ACVR Residency Program Directors.
