After consultation with the Associate Editors, the journal has decided to consider video files along with still images to support articles published in the journal.
It is not the goal of this new direction to make the journal a video repository for interesting patient material. Rather, the goal is to provide an avenue for authors to include evidence of dynamic situations that cannot be accurately captured in still images.
The details of this new direction can be found in the newly revised Author Instructions on the Journal home page. Briefly, up to 2 video files will be considered for a paper. Video files must be submitted in Quicktime format and each must be less than 5 MB in size. Video files that are accepted will only be accessible through the online version of the paper. Video submissions will be scrutinized very carefully to assure that the objectives of this new feature are maintained.
